Large side and rear extension with extensive internal and external remodelling

Set on the outskirts of town with breathtaking views over the Surrey countryside the owner saw the potential to modernise and increase the size of this property.  Transforming the property to work both as a space to entertain and to provide the comforts of a large family home were central elements of the clients brief.

The design included a single storey rear extension designed to make the most of the connection between the house to the surrounding countryside. A three storey side extension and extensive internal remodelling to open up the house for spacious modern living.

Part of the brief was to tailor the design so that innovative ecologically friendly building techniques could be used in for the construction of the side extension.
